In Summer you need to be Sun Safe because because, obviously, you will get sun burned. Here are 5 tips to prevent getting Sun burned.
1. Always be sure that when outside, wear a hat.
2. If you're at the beach, whether sun or cloud, it doesn't matter but you will always get burned so put on some sun-screen.
3. Wear some sun-glasses so you don't get blinded by the sun.
4. If you don't have sun-screen, wear a shirt with long sleeves to be protected by the sun.
5. Always be hydrated so you don't faint when it gets too hot.

ReplyDeleteIt's Leslie here, writing to you from Canada where I'm in no danger of being burned by the sun!! I'm a member of the Summer Learning Journey team and it's my pleasure to read your blog.
I think you've created a good list of the do's and don'ts for avoiding too much sun exposure. Heat exhaustion can be a real problem and can make one really ill. As you say, drinking lots of fluids, and water in particular, is a good strategy for avoiding that. Do you play sport in the summer? Have you ever gotten over-heated and felt faint or had a headache? I hope not.
I hope you're enjoying some sunny summer days during your holiday time and that you're having some fun with friends and family. I also hope that you'll continue to work on the Summer Learning Journey. It's super to have you participating!!!
